FAMILY FRIENDLY HOLIDAY HOUSE IN ST IVES

Excellent service & perfect house. From the moment we called So St Ives to help us find a place to stay for new year we knew we were in safe hands. Alan made the booking process so simple and easy. We arrived at Stones Reef and had 4 wonderful nights there. The house was perfect, absolutely spotless and the welcome notes and gifts were a lovely touch. The house was still decorated for Christmas with a real tree, which we were thrilled about as we arrived on the 28th December. Highly recommend So St Ives, Alan you have been great and a pleasure to deal with. Until the next time.

This was our fourth time staying at Stone's Reef which probably says it all! Beautifully furnished, extremely clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our family of four. Welcome pack of milk, wine, tea, coffee and yummy Cornish biscuits are a lovely touch. Stone's Reef is a little out of town and the walk back up the hill is not for the faint-hearted but great for burning off the extra calories after a meal out! Alan & Sharon have always been super responsive and helpful and have helped us to track down and return a t-shirt left behind by our son! Heartily recommended!

We stayed in Stones Reef for a week at the end of July 2023. This was our second summer stay in St Ives & despite the great British weather we had a wonderful time. The house & garden were very welcoming, beautifully decorated & equipped. The house was big enough for us all & the view from the the upstairs window was perfect. The booking process was easy & communication, advice was quick, professional & friendly. The beds were very comfortable & the linen & towels were quality & extremely fresh. The arrival gifts were very welcoming & thoughtful. We would definitely recommend Stones Reef & So St Ives. Thank you all for a lovely stay, we hope to return soon.

We stayed over the Xmas week and found our stay to be exceptional. The care and lengths Alan and team have gone to to ensure all the basics required for your stay are available, plus lots of extras is just magnificent. We all remarked on how this stay was the most well equipped house any of us have stayed in.

We stayed in St Ives at Stones Reef. What a great place to stay!!... spotlessly clean and everything catered for, even down to a stopper for the prosecco bottle!! A nice welcome gift from So St Ives, from a bottle of wine for the humans to little 'pasty' dog treats for our Ruby. We would recommend Alan, Sharon and So St Ives to book through, very helpful and quick to respond when there was a minor problem. Stones Reef 5***** accommodation!

Just returned from two weeks holiday at Stones Reef in St Ives. A really spacious & comfortable property with a cool vibe & a lovely eating area leading out onto the garden. We were blessed with incredible weather so made full use of the BBQ. The cottage has parking alongside so we had several day trips out to different dog friendly beaches & really made the most of our stay. The team at So St Ives were extremely friendly & professional, answering all our questions & I would certainly book with them again. Thanks so much for a brilliant relaxing holiday!

Really lovely house, great location despite the rather steep hill back from town, it does mean you get lovely views out into the harbour! Would recommend to friends/family and stay here again!

Have just spent a wonderful 4 night break in Stones Reef. What an impressive place to stay, absolutely loved the decor (4 nights of perfect sleep with those lovely pillows and bedding, I’m going to get the same when I get home), such a peaceful and quiet place although you are residing in a street. I loved the place, I want to buy it. Everything you need in the kitchen was supplied to an exceptional standard and cleanliness was first class, the small enclosed garden was so pretty and well kept, loved the bi-fold doors, we stayed September and the weather was beautiful. I’d love to spend every holiday here. So glad I found this fantastic property.

Location was perfect with rare parking facilities in St Ives, very dog friendly with lots of local walks and lovely beaches. Comfortable accommodation with everything we needed for our Christmas stay. Real Christmas tree was much appreciated as was the welcome pack, nice touch. Thanks Alan.

Beautifully created space. Very thoughfully fitted out and ideal for family stay with everything we needed. Super stylish as well. If you are into your cooking super kitchen for cooking with so many great recipe books.

We had a fantastic week in this house. It’s furnished to a high standard and is equipped with everything we needed. The location is great with amazing sea views. It is up a very steep hill so not suitable for people who would struggle in that regard, though you can get a bus from the bottom of the road put to the top. Lovely stay, I’d definitely recommend.

STONES REEF is St Ives perfect weekend getaway. I can't think of one negative thing about our stay - everything was perfect. Upon arrival we received a bowl of fresh essentials including eggs, butter, bacon, tomato & avocado, plus milk and a bottle of wine which were an extremely pleasant surprise. Especially as we had driven in from Central London and arrived quite late, it was great to know we had everything we needed for breakfast the next morning. The space was very clean, bright and we enjoyed the dining room space the most. There was more than enough space for 6 adults. The beds were also extremely comfortable - hotel quality! One thing to note: the cottage is a quick 15-20 minute walk to the harbour but beware it's a steep climb. As I am recovering from a broken foot this was a bit of a challenge. Good to know if you don't have a car to get into town or have mobility issues. I can't wait to visit St Ives again and definitely plan to stay at another one of Alan and Sharon's properties!”

STONES REEF is a beautiful property. We had a glorious week there and were able to spend some time relaxing in the peaceful garden too as the weather was glorious. We loved the rocking bench in the garden so much that we have tracked one down and intend to buy it! The views from the window upstairs were stunning, we spent a lot of time relaxing on the sofa gazing out to sea. The property was extremely clean and tidy, and the additional touches of the food hamper and biscuits for the dogs was so thoughtful. Also it was lovely to see flowers had been put into a couple of vases, so it felt really homely. The property is in a lovely location with a 15 minute stroll into town. We walked a variety of ways to have a good look round the back streets of St. Ives! The walk back up the hill got easier each time, so my advice is to do it once or twice a day as your fitness levels will definitely improve! The house itself was perfect for our stay, it had everything we needed and more. I would absolutely recommend it as its nice to step away from the hustle and bustle of the town to a quieter area at times and it had parking on site which is rare in the town. We also followed the guide in the welcome book for the coastal walk into town and this was lovely too. We also spent time at The Lizard (Kynance Cove is not to be missed) and Gwithian too, where the Sunset Cafe and Godrevy Cafe are both lovely places to sit and relax. I can fully recommend the coastal path walk from St ives to Lelant, with a stop at Birdies Bistro. If you have the energy to walk back its lovely, as Porthkidney Sands are dog friendly all year round. However you can always catch the lovely little train back from Lelant if not. All in all a lovely week spent in the most perfect house and location.
