While most beaches have some leeway for dogs, some have strict rules. Dogs are not allowed on the following beaches between the following dates and times

Porthmeor Beach
While dogs are not allowed on Porthmeor Beach during these dates and times during peak season (15th May – 30th September between 10.00am – 6.00pm), they are welcome before 10.00am and after 6.00pm. With its golden sands and rolling waves, Porthmeor Beach offers plenty of space for your dog to run and explore. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shoreline or soak up the sun while your furry friend enjoys the salty breeze.
Bamaluz Beach
Located just a short walk from the town center, Bamaluz Beach is open to dogs all year round. Tucked away between the harbour and Porthgwidden Beach, this hidden gem provides a quiet retreat where your dog can dig in the sand and paddle in the shallow waters.
Porthkidney Sands
Situated on the eastern side of St Ives Bay, Porthkidney Sands is a vast stretch of golden sand that welcomes dogs throughout the year. This remote beach is perfect for long walks and peaceful picnics with your canine companion. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the dunes and estuary.
Harbour Beach

Porthminster Beach

This family-friendly beach offers stunning views across St Ives Bay and is ideal for a relaxing day by the sea with your furry friend. Treat yourself to a beachside meal at the renowned Porthminster Beach Cafe while your dog rests at your feet.
Porthgwidden Beach
While dogs are not allowed on Porthgwidden Beach during these dates and times during peak season (1st July – 31st August between 10.00am – 6.00pm), they are welcome before 10.00am and after 6.00pm. Porthgwidden Beach in St Ives is a charming cove nestled between the iconic St Ives Harbour and the renowned Porthmeor Beach. This picturesque beach not only offers breathtaking views of the coastline but also extends a warm welcome to our furry companions, it’s a great family beach.
Carbis Bay beach
Dogs are allowed on Carbis Bay beach year-round. However, between (15th May – 30th September between 10.00am – 6.00pm), dogs are not allowed on the beach between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm. Outside of these hours, dogs are free to go on Carbis Bay beach.

OUR COTTAGE RULES FOR DOGS (MAINLY OWNERS)
While we want to ensure your stay with us is as comfortable as possible, we have a few rules and guidelines in place for our doggy guests. These are mainly to keep our accommodation clean and to prevent any accidental damage. Our rules & guidelines are as follows.
Please clean up after your dog, dogs are not to be left alone in the property and not to be allowed on sofa’s and beds. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines for a pleasant stay for everyone.
Are there additional fees for bringing a dog to the holiday cottages?
Yes, there is an additional £25 fee, this fee helps cover any additional cleaning or maintenance required to ensure the comfort of all guests.
Are there any specific amenities or facilities provided for dogs in the holiday cottages?
Some of our dog-friendly holiday cottages have designated outdoor areas for exercise and play. These properties are Ocean Scene, Stones Reef, Merryn, Trenoweth Lodge, Meadow Corner, The Loft, Seawater Cottage, Figgy Cottage. Please check the property details for the specific amenities that are available. We also provide dog treats on arrival.
