From the perspective of the Trenoweth Lodge owners here’s an insight into life at their fabulous home.
Trenoweth Lodge is our escape from the every day hustle and bustle of life. As soon as we arrive we are greeted by the smell of the Cornish sea which is just a short walk away. The house itself is inviting and comfortable and is a true home from home. We are immediately immersed in the smell of our gorgeous reed diffusers dotted around the house that send us into relaxation, already forgetting about our every day motions of life. Soft furnishings and artwork to pair create a calming atmosphere throughout our house.
Furthermore, the house is situated in a stupendous location and is just a mere 5 minute walk to Carbis Bay beach with the softest sand and calmest of clear waters – it’s our idea of a perfect beach. You will also can find the fabulous Adam Handling restaurant The Ugly Butterfly overlooking the beach. If we fancy more casual dining we walk up to a family favourite La Casita or walk the coastal path into St Ives, a food lovers paradise.
Our best-loved walk with our dog is the coastal path to Porthkidney Sands around the headland enjoying the view of the turquoise waters and the occasional glimpse of dolphins. The rocky path down to the mostly deserted beach even in the height of summer is the perfect spot to watch the world and wind surfers go by.
As well as Trenoweth Lodge being a beautiful house, it is also practical. Whether staying with another family or holidaying with Grandparents, everybody feels at ease with enough space to move around. With the house being split in two it creates freedom of choice for each family member. Whether the kids want to watch their own TV or sit with the rest of the family, the option is always there, with a unique seating area above the garage which we refer to as ‘The Den’.
With our enclosed garden we never have to worry about the dogs and what they might be getting up to. Our new hot tub positioned in a secluded spot adds that extra bit of relaxation to our stay. We love our garden with a plethora of places to sit to soak up the sun, whether that’s with our morning cup of tea or evening wine!
Trenoweth Lodge is a truly special place to stay. Each one of our family members throughly enjoys spending time there and always return home refreshed and ready for everyday life.
