- Force Majeure
So St Ives will not be held liable for cancellations due to circumstances beyond their reasonable control (including, without limitation; epidemic or pandemic, flood, storm, contamination, infestation, fire, illness, death or unforeseen repairs required to the property).
All of our properties are strictly non-smoking.
This Contract is made on the understanding that the property will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events arising out of the control of So St Ives we may be forced to cancel the booking. The Hirer will be advised of such circumstances as early as possible and So St Ives will refund all monies paid in full but the Hirer will have no further claims against So St Ives.
In the event of a cancellation being received in writing, So St Ives will endeavour to re-let the property for the full amount and, if successful, will refund any monies already paid minus an administration fee of £50.
If the property is re-let at a lesser amount then only this amount minus the £50 administration fee will be refunded.
If the property is not re-let, the original Hirer is liable only for payments already made.
Coronavirus: In the event of a cancellation due to government imposed travel restrictions throughout the UK or other reasons of Force Majeure, So St Ives will hold deposit and balance payments as credit towards a future stay.
We strongly recommend that you take out a travel insurance policy to cover such losses.
- Personal belongings
Baggage and personal belongings are at the Hirer’s risk and no responsibility can be accepted for loss of or damage to such items.

Stones Reef (2 max)
Figgy Cottage (1 max)
Pilchard Cottage (1 max)
Seawater (1 max)
Dogs allowed to stay for an extra cost of £25 per dog on the following conditions…
Dogs not to be left alone in the property
Dogs are not allowed upstairs to the bedrooms
Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, including the sofas
All mess to be cleared from the garden/courtyard prior to departure
- Arrival / departure times
All tenancies commence after 3pm on the start date of your holiday and terminate at 10am on the finish date of your holiday.
Under no circumstances may the Hirer enter the property or use reserved parking spaces (where applicable) before 3pm on the commencement date. The property and parking space must be vacated by 10am on the termination date.
The Hirer and other members of the party must not cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of the neighbouring properties.
We do not accept bookings for single sex groups of more than two persons.
Person booking holiday must be at least 25 years of age.
Occupancy must not exceed maximum capacity as stated for each property.
Please note that some properties are unsuitable for pre-school age children or the elderly or infirm. Please see individual property page for further information.
By accepting the booking conditions the Hirer authorises So St Ives to take payment up to the value of £200 for any damage caused during their stay.
All bookings are accepted on the condition that the property is left clean and tidy and all breakages or any damage will be paid for by the person who made the booking.
- Balance Payment
A deposit payment of one third of the overall balance is payable in order to confirm the booking if the holiday is two months or more in advance. Upon payment of the deposit and subject to acceptance of the booking, the Hirer becomes liable for the balance of the rent two months before the holiday start date.
If booking less than two months before the holiday begins then the full balance is payable to confirm the booking.
A non-refundable booking fee of £30 is payable per booking.
