Guest Reviews
We spent a week at Trenoweth Lodge in Carbis Bay during August. It is wonderful! The property is very spacious and beautifully furnished and decorated to a high standard. Even the diffusers in each room are amazing. The property is so obviously loved by the owners. The outside space is delightful with a number of areas to sit depending upon the time of day, although it would not be appropriate for anyone with mobility issues. The hot tub was a great hit, especially with my grandchildren. Access to the beach is via a steep pathway that runs adjacent to the drive. The walk down is easy but its challenging on the way back, but then isn’t everywhere in Carbis Bay? Booking was easy and efficient. And, as we had only arrived from St Ives where we had spent the previous week, we were allowed to store some of equipment in the garage until 3 pm when we were able to get access to the house. I will definitely use So Ives to book accommodation in the future and would love to go back the Trenoweth Lodge.

This is our second time using So St Ives. We stayed for a week in Trenoweth at Carbis Bay. Beautiful house, clean, spacious and with great views. It was a pleasure to use all the facilities. We enjoyed the new hot tub. It’s a short walk of 5 minutes down to Carbis Bay beach. The house is well maintained and up to date. Such a peaceful location and the back gate leads onto the South West coastal path.

Trenoweth Lodge is beautiful! We loved staying here whilst in Cornwall. It’s in a great location and has everything one can ask for. Beautifully decorated and so clean & comfortable. Highly recommend! Sharon & Alan always ensure we have a pleasant stay in Cornwall.

What a fantastic house, in a fantastic location! Firstly, the added touches from So St Ives made it extra special for us. We have travelled a lot to Cornwall, but the communications and the extras on arrival were far more than we have experienced before. The house is immaculately clean, has soft fluffy towels and an interior that looks high end. There was everything you could want, from kitchen utensils to dishwashing tablets and a special hose for the dogs paws outside. The beds were super comfy, as were the pillows. It was easy to find and the location to Carbis bay was ideal. The path to Carbis bay is located next to the driveway - but good to note (esp if you have young ones) there is a pathway to walk to St Ives at the end of the road. Overall a fantastic holiday, in a beautiful home found through the very helpful So St Ives. I can’t think of a thing I would change and we are very, very fussy travellers. Ps: The beautiful Royal Daulton crockery was much appreciated and the bubbles on arrival! The views were also stunning.

Just returned from a lovely week staying in Trenoweth Lodge. The house is beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard & very comfortable. The owners have provided everything you would possibly need & it was immaculately clean when we arrived. It was ideal for a multi-generational family holiday or for two families holidaying together. The house is effectively & professionally managed by So St Ives. The information folder told us all we would want to know about the house & surrounding area and the complimentary items of Cornish goodies were a lovely touch and most welcome- and delicious! I have no hesitation in giving this property a 5 star rating and would be happy to stay here again.

TRENOWETH LODGE: Fantastic location and views - Carbis Bay - 10 minute walk to stunning beach. Trenoweth Lodge is a beautiful house, refurbished to a very high standard and decorated tastefully for our Christmas break - eight adults and two dogs with plenty of room, everyone was happy! Alan was extremely helpful throughout our booking and the Welcome Gift was a lovely surprise after a long journey. We will be back!

We had a great week staying at Trenoweth Lodge. Lovely well equipped family home. The location was perfect - walking distance to the beach and railway station with one stop to St Ives. Stunning coastal walk from St Erth to St Ives. Something for all members of the family and we look forward to visiting again.

Our two families (both with teenage children) had a truly wonderful stay at Trenoweth Lodge. The house is very spacious, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. The outdoor space, with sea views, is fantastic. Parking (for at least two cars) is useful, being on a driveway in front of the property. We can’t think of anything that would have made our stay either more convenient or more enjoyable. Location wise, the beautiful beach at Carbis Bay is a short walk away (a bonus because the car park near the beach was nearly always full). And it’s well worth walking to St Ives (about 20 minutes) again to avoid busy and expensive parking. If you’re looking for waves you could head north a short drive (20 minutes) to Gwithian Towans beach. Booking through So St Ives was quick and easy and it was a pleasure to deal with Alan, who was always on hand to help us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Trenoweth Lodge and hope to return ourselves in the future.

TRENOWETH LODGE. Approaching the driveway to the house we were met with a stunning view of turquoise waters in Carbis Bay. Immediately we found our holiday vibe! Having let ourselves in, our impression was cleanliness, and a warm welcome with thoughtful messages and hospitality gifts. This house is gorgeous! Large, light, quietly nestled on the coastal hillside, surrounded by birdsong and rooftops, but very private, we felt relaxed and at home from the start. The beds are really comfortable, the towels luxurious, the decor stylish and bright. We loved it all, especially sitting on the upper deck enjoying the sea view in the morning and evening sunshine. Only downside was having to leave, but hopefully to return!

An amazing weeks stay at Trenoweth Lodge, Carbis Bay. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished and everything has been thought of in the house. The house is a short walk to Carbis Bay beach (which is ideal because parking is limited) and a 25-minute walk into St Ives along the coastal path. The house is ideal for a family stay - our children enjoyed the PlayStation in the Den and we all enjoyed sitting in the garden enjoying the view and the sunshine. It’s a very spacious and light house. We would certainly return again and stay at Trenoweth Lodge and would certainly recommend Alan and So St Ives for their excellent service and standards.

Trenoweth Lodge. This property is immaculate and even better than the photographs;the elegant interior design is worthy of any glossy magazine. It combines colonial style with fresh, crisp lines and cosy comforts. Our party of 8 ranging from aged 25 to 85 (plus two dogs) were all comfortable here; the property is spacious with luxury amnenities that made the stay feel really special. Alan is a considerate host and the welcome treats were a great surprise that made for a lovely start to our celebrations. We loved how conveniently located it was and the trip on the train was a real highlight for Grandpa! We’re already talking about returning next year. Thoroughly recommended.

TRENOWETH LODGE. Our 5-day stay at Trenoweth Lodge was 100% positive and we would gladly stay here again in any season. The online description was attractive but cannot accurately describe the lodge which was much more than we were expecting. The house was spotlessly clean upon arrival and each aspect (kitchen, dining, living, bedrooms, bathrooms, garden) was very spacious and comfortable, and provided us with all the facilities and amenities that we wanted and could have needed. We visited several restaurants and pubs that featured in the welcome package and were not disappointed. Similarly, we did several of the walks that were featured and also enjoyed them. Trenoweth Lodge is situated on the side of a hill with a steep walk both down to the beach and up to the main road, this may be the only disadvantage to elderly or less mobile guests. We would gladly recommend Trenoweth Lodge to friends.

TRENOWETH LODGE. Just enjoyed the most wonderful week at Trenoweth Lodge, an exceptionally beautiful holiday home! Fabulously elegant decor straight from the pages of a magazine combined with the warmth, charm and comfort of a family home, what a perfect combination to relax and enjoy St Ives! Superb kitchen, gorgeous sitting room, dream inducing bedrooms and stunning sea views…everything you could want has been thought of, what’s not to love!? It’s an absolutely perfect holiday home, we will be back!!

This stylish property ticked all the boxes. Lovely location with sea views, furnished to a high level and extremely well equipped, providing those little extras to make this a relaxing stay. With the added bonus of wall to wall sunshine we had a lovely holiday in Cornwall. Will definitely be booking again, thankyou!
