OVERVIEW OF TREPORTH

This beautifully refurbished house sits on the Porthmeor side of town, with fabulous sea views from all three levels to the front. Porthmeor beach is just a short downhill walk from the front door, and its westerly aspect makes it one of the best spots in town to enjoy the stunning sunsets.

Treporth has three bedrooms and, with one being a family room, sleeps a total of eight guests, yet still gives everyone plenty of room to breathe. Grandparents can find a quiet corner, teenagers can claim their own space, and little ones will always have somewhere to dump their buckets and spades after a day on the sand. Two of the three bedrooms face the sea, with wide-open views stretching over the beach to the Atlantic Ocean beyond, the kind of view you’d wish to wake up to with the curtains flung open and a coffee in hand. With a shower room on every floor, mornings stay easy even with a full house.

The heart of the home is the open-plan sitting and dining area, where the sea is visible beyond the rooftops and the parking below. Curl up on the corner sofa and watch the sea change colour through the afternoon, or pull everyone round the table once the sand has been rinsed off for a family meal. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking after a day at the beach, and patio doors open onto a private outdoor dining area, perfect for a slow breakfast in the sun.

To the front of the house are driveway parking spaces for two cars making arriving and departing extremely easy, meaning no dragging bulky suitcases or surfboards around town or uphill. With your allocated parking it’s easy to head out for the day and explore even more of this stunning stretch of Cornish coastline, and even more so if you drive an electric vehicle as you have your own EV charging point on the driveway.

Dogs can come along too, and being so close to the beach makes Treporth the perfect dog friendly holiday house in St Ives with the whole family, four-legged members included, being made welcome.

From the front door it is just a short walk from everything that St Ives has to offer. Aside from Treporth’s proximity to Porthmeor beach the whole of St Ives opens up as there are cobbled lanes and footpaths in all directions leading down to the town centre shops, harbour side cafés and independent galleries aplenty, and the kind of unhurried days that make you want to book next year’s trip before you’ve even left.
